PAM Ile-de-France specialised transport

Presentation

The PAM Ile-de-France service is a specialised transport service that is designed for disabled or elderly persons who are unable to use public transport or for whom it is extremely difficult to do so.

In 2002 the STIF decided to introduce a specialised regional transport network designed for people with a disability, the project owners being the Départements (Counties).

A PAM service is created on the initiative of each Département (County) in the region   and benefits from financial support from the Ile-de-France Region and the STIF.

The PAM service is currently implemented in all the Francilien départements (counties).

These services make the appropriate vehicles available to the disabled or elderly persons so that they can travel everywhere in the Ile-de-France whatever their reason for travelling.

The pick-up point is the home of the user and the accompanying driver drops you off at your destination address.

To use the PAM service of the relevant Département (County), it is necessary to first subscribe by becoming a member. This gives rise to the issue of a card with one's name on it. (The access conditions are specified on the Internet sites of each network).

The desired journey must be booked at least 24 hours before by telephone, fax, letter or e-mail with the Departmental booking office. It is also possible to book regular journeys to go and return from work daily.
